CAT BEHAVIOR

Cats are fascinating animals. The behavior and habits of domestic cats include body language and Communication. Cat behavior may vary among breeds and individual cats.
Cat ‘behavior’ is defined as the way in which a cat behaves in response to a particular situation in its environment. Behavior is an external expression influenced by the cat’s internal, emotional state at that moment in time. ( wild cats are solitary and the domestic cats live in colonies)
Cat communication:
Cat communication includes the use of variety of vocalization.

Purring: Purring is the most common sound cats make . A  way of communicating and as a form of self-soothing or even healing. This is why cats will often purr when they're injured, or after a stressful event.

 

 

Meow: an extended, drawn-out meow normally manner that your furry buddy wants something unique, like dinner. Repeated meows may also suggest that your cat is excited, while high-pitched meows can mean that your kitty is startled or harm.

 

 

Hissing or spitting: shows an angry or defensive cat.
Yowl: Approach that the cat is in distress or feeling competitive.
Chattering: occurs whilst looking or tracking capability prey. Includes brief chirps made whilst the mouth vibrates. The gaze is constant and staring. This behavior may be in reaction to a surge of adrenaline or can be because of the anticipation of a pending hunt.


Body language

Cat body posture
